Our story

Everything was in too many places.

I’m Stephen.

For five years I was the events and operations manager for an award-winning caterer in the north west. I ran every kind of wedding: hotel packages, barns, marquees in a field.

I’d meet couples right at the start, newly engaged and excited. Then I’d sit down with them again at the final meeting to go through the last details. By then, something had changed.

Most of them had never planned a wedding before, and nobody had told them what it takes. It was spreadsheets, deposits and deadlines, chasing suppliers for answers and guests for replies. The numbers would change, then change again the week before, and every change meant another round of calls and emails. By that last meeting, the admin had taken over their evenings and weekends.

I saw it from the other side too. We’d have three weddings in a week, and a couple’s simple question could wait a fortnight for an answer. That wasn’t anyone’s fault. Good people were buried in admin.

So I built I Do, one place for the whole wedding. And I built Iris to take the admin off a supplier’s desk.

Then I joined the two together, because nobody else had.

What I built

One wedding. Everyone in it.
